A public internet experiment. I am asking strangers for $1,000,000 net while telling them, plainly, that they receive nothing of material value in return.

I don't want to be rich. I want to stop needing a paycheck.

I want enough capital that money becomes one less thing I have to constantly worry about. My intention is to preserve and invest most of it so it can survive inflation and produce returns.

Life will still happen. I may need it someday. My family may need it someday. I don't know. I just don't want to spend the rest of my life chasing the money required to deal with those possibilities. That's really it.

You shouldn't. I'm asking, not giving you a reason why you should.

If you need convincing, don't contribute. But maybe you don't need convincing. Maybe you're curious. Maybe this makes you laugh. Maybe you like the experiment. Maybe ten dollars simply doesn't matter very much to you.

Your reason is yours. You don't owe me one. If you contribute and want to share it afterward, you can keep it private, publish it anonymously, or publish it with a chosen display name.

I know why I'm asking. You know why you're giving. That's enough.

Probably. There isn't a particularly good reason. This website is not an argument that I deserve financial independence more than anybody else. I'm just the one asking.

That depends on what you consider good. The money is for me. I'm not raising it for charity, and I'm not promising to donate it.

The goal is financial independence. Anything good I do with the freedom that creates is a consequence, not a condition of your contribution.

No. I can survive without this experiment. This is not an emergency, hardship campaign, medical fundraiser, or claim that I need rescuing. That is precisely why nobody should feel a moral obligation to participate.

Yes, if Mercado Pago permits it and you understand the experiment. Large or unusual payments may be delayed, rejected, refunded, or require additional verification by the processor, bank, or compliance teams.

If you made an honest mistake, contact me as soon as possible. I am not here to profit from typos, accidental extra zeros, or someone misunderstanding what they were doing.

If the payment can reasonably be identified and refunded, I will try to make it right. Refunds still depend on the payment processor and the circumstances of the transaction.

Payments close server-side once confirmed and reconciled net contributions reach or exceed the target. Because payments can be in flight simultaneously, the final amount may be slightly above it.
